How the estimate works
The cost of a tire install is the sum of four line items: mount, balance, TPMS service (if applicable), and disposal. Each component varies by retailer and by state. Costco bundles install + balance at the lowest per-tire rate in the country; Discount Tire charges slightly more but includes free flat repair for life on any tire. Walmart's prices are low but TPMS service is sometimes skipped.
